Editorial Story
Editorial Story combines large imagery with long-form brand, product or campaign messaging.
Image position, sizing, fit, focal positioning, section dimensions and optional links can be configured independently.
Halden is a premium Shopify theme designed for technical, product-focused and specification-led stores while remaining flexible enough for a wide range of modern ecommerce brands.
Halden combines an editorial visual system with strong commerce functionality. It was designed around stores where product specifications, compatibility, collections and product discovery are important parts of the buying decision.
The theme includes configurable typography, colors, spacing, responsive image controls, product cards, filtering, predictive search, product comparison, editorial sections, cart functionality, mega navigation and mobile-first layouts.
Halden is built for Shopify's Online Store 2.0 Theme Editor. Most visual and content changes can be made without editing code.
Sections can be reordered where Shopify permits, and each major Halden section includes its own controls for content and visual presentation.
Global heading and body fonts can be configured in Theme Settings. Individual Halden sections can inherit these fonts or use their own font selections.
Halden supports configurable page widths for stores that prefer compact, standard or wider layouts.
The theme supports merchant-controlled foreground, background, accent and border colors across major sections.
The Halden header supports desktop navigation, mobile navigation, search, logo or text wordmark, cart access and optional sticky behavior.
When sticky header is enabled, the main navigation can remain available as customers move through longer pages.
The Halden Hero is the primary editorial banner intended for a strong first impression and a focused commercial message.
Merchants can configure headline content, supporting text, calls to action, specifications, media and section styling.
Shop by Job creates a visual collection-discovery experience. Each card can use a manually selected image or derive imagery from a selected collection.
A card can link to a selected collection or a manually configured destination.
Use Featured Products to surface selected products directly on the homepage using Halden's product-card system.
System Feature is designed for product ecosystems, platforms, ranges, collections or other important commercial stories.
Configure the image, statistics, editorial content and optional destination through the Theme Editor.
The Values section communicates differentiators such as product quality, specifications, support or service benefits.
Individual value blocks can display configurable icons for faster visual recognition.
Trade Benefits provides a compact row of customer confidence and service messages such as delivery, warranty, support or secure checkout.
Each benefit can display its own icon and supporting text.
Product Comparison allows merchants to present several products against common specification fields.
Products can provide image, price and specification information from assigned products, while individual block settings can also be used where required.
Editorial Story combines large imagery with long-form brand, product or campaign messaging.
Image position, sizing, fit, focal positioning, section dimensions and optional links can be configured independently.
Use Testimonials to display merchant-entered customer feedback or other approved testimonial content.
The FAQ section uses expandable accordion items for commonly asked customer questions.
Keep answers concise and update them whenever store policies, delivery terms or product requirements change.
The Custom Section provides a flexible content and media layout for additional merchant-created storytelling that does not fit one of Halden's more specialized sections.
Halden's product page is designed around clear media presentation, product information and purchase actions.
Variant selections automatically update the relevant product information and product URL where supported.
Collection pages support Shopify filtering and sorting alongside Halden product cards.
Halden includes both a search results page and predictive search in the header.
Search results support products and other searchable Shopify content where available, along with filtering and responsive layouts.
The cart supports quantity updates, removal, order notes, product details, discounts where supplied by Shopify and checkout actions.
An intentional empty-cart experience is also included.
Halden includes templates for standard pages, blogs, articles, collection listings and the Shopify 404 page.
Article layouts include the article title, publication metadata, featured image, content and navigation back to the blog.
The contact template uses Shopify's native contact form and includes visible validation and form submission feedback.
Email validation and numeric phone input handling are included to improve form quality before submission.
Halden includes a dedicated storefront password experience with brand content, optional imagery, newsletter signup and storefront access form.
Incorrect storefront password feedback is presented inside the access dialog.
Halden uses Shopify's responsive image system and generates multiple image widths where appropriate.
Halden is designed to adapt across desktop, tablet and mobile layouts.
Many media-led sections include separate desktop and mobile image sizing controls so merchants can fine-tune their presentation.
Halden includes keyboard focus styles, semantic landmarks, a skip link, accessible dialog behavior and keyboard handling across major interactive components.
Merchants remain responsible for providing meaningful alternative text for uploaded images and maintaining readable color contrast when changing theme colors.
Open that section in the Theme Editor and select an image. Some areas display a neutral placeholder until merchant content is configured.
Check both the button label and link fields. Halden intentionally avoids creating clickable calls to action when no destination has been configured.
Products with multiple variants normally require customers to choose their required options on the product page before adding the product to the cart.
Confirm that the Mega menu block's top-level menu item exactly matches the title of the navigation item configured in Shopify.
Confirm that the Theme Editor changes were saved and that you are previewing the same theme being edited.
